Hi, again,

I can't bring myself to try the Alimentum again yet...a friend mentioned Carnation/Nestle's Good Start. Is this basically the same as Enfamil's Gentle Ease? I know it's still milk-based, can't figure out yet if my DS is lactose or milk-protein intolerant, or if it's something else (rice cereal??) re eczema. Thanks for the input...

I used this formaula with my first child because he was very very gassy! It worked wonders for him....

I think it could be worth the try! What does the doc say??

I tried everything for my daughter and Hypo formula it is... and even tried switching back a few times during the past 8 months and it was a no go.

I've used Gentlease and Good Start... with both my daughter gets tummy pains, horrible gas and screams and doesnt sleep.

You can try it... but I would see what the Dr says, or at least let them know you are going to try a run of GS before going to Hypo.

Good luck! :)

I think we are going to try it. Right now she is getting 8 oz, half alimentum and half similac and we were up every 2 hours last night!!

Do you think, mixing the two formulas is doing it???

Can you just do one or the other?

good start also makes a soy formula.if you think its a lactose or milk protien issue........that might be a good thing to try...good luck

We have used good start from the beginning with Sam. We tried all the others, but he did the same with all of them so we are back to the good start. If the Good start supreme (purple can) doesn't work for you, you can try the good start supreme - soy (blue can). One other thing that I noticed was that Sam did horrible on any formula with DHA/ARA in it so we stayed away from that.

Hope you find something that will work for you!

I ditto the horrible reaction to formulas with DHA/ARA. We had great luck with Good Start with both kidlets!

Good Start didn't work for us...We ended up going to a Lacto Free.

Hope you find the right one for your little one!!
