We've been trying pears again and he was sooooo fussy today and seemed pretty gassy. Have any of your gerdlings had a reaction from pears? I was under the impression that they were usually tolerated pretty well. Still not sure if it was the pears, he's also teething.

Pears, strawberries, peaches, apricots, and prunes are all fruits that tend to loosen things up. It could be causing gas.
Pears never bothered Emma, nor did they loosen things up. She's an oddity, I guess. Still love her though! ;)

Amanda's right - pears have a lot of fiber in them so that could be the cause. Joshua loves the pears so who knows! Hates veggies, loves all the fruits.
Could be the teething. Did you give him Tylenol or anything?

I was wondering if you pinned the problem on the pears.......I just recently started giving them to lizzy again cuz she hated them at first and thursday and today she had them and she was really fussy and tooting all day long?????

I had a pear problem today. My silent refluxer rarely spits up. After trying pears today she was fussy all day, although having just been placed on prevacid. She finally spit up a huge load and then felt a lot better
