Larissa has broken out in what appears to be eczema (patches of red and or dry skin). This has happened since we had the new respite worker in. I believe that Larissa is very distressed by the change from her former respite worker and although this woman is very kind and gentle with her, she gets in a tissy when she arrives. About 4 days after the woman started, we started to see the rash. Nothing has changed in her food or meds (although when we first saw it, she had finsihed some antibiotics about 3 days earlier), but it continues. She has now had it for about a week. Your thoughts.

Not quite sure...Just thought I'd say I hope it gets better soon!

I'd say it's definitely possible. Eczema can be an immune response to foods, so why not an immune response (we know the immune system lowers during stress) to stress? I had stress induced hives one time.

I would have to say yes to this. My son has a really bad case of eczema right now and is also very stressed. His skin is so bad and nothing is working at this point.
What are you using to help with it at this time?

A co-worker of mine used to get hand-sized welts all over her in times of high stress. Our boss at the time was a Queen B so poor Sheri got hives all the time.

Melanie,
I have been putting a cream on called "udder cream" and it does alleviate the red, but not where it has gotten really dry.
