Hi, everyone,
I've been reading this board and the one on allergies - you're all heroines! My 6 mo. old little guy has silent reflux and is recently on Prilosec (much better than Zantac after a 2 month nightmare). But he has NO APPETITE (for weeks) - worst days are 16 oz, best days are 24. He has also been developing a "rash" all over his trunk for a month that our ped said was "pre-ezcema" and not to worry. The ped. GI says to switch to Alimentum (he's been on Similac Advance w/ Iron) to rule out the allergic stuff, or at least a milk intolerance. We tried it once 50/50 a few weeks ago and he could barely stand it (took maybe 2 oz) at his best feeding of the day (before bed). I don't want to mess with a poor feeder even more, but don't want to keep feeding him something that seems to be getting worse and may be "poison" to his system. Any help in getting my kiddie to switch formulas? Or any other formulas that might work better? (BTW, we started rice in the bottle about 2 1/2 weeks ago to keep down the spit-up, and then as a solid one week ago, and sweet potatoes yesterday - he seems ok with the spoon!) Thanks!
