Well, we took Kylie(6 mos.) to the allergist. I know, too young. Her ped. referred us as she is rubbing her eyes/nose raw and getting sinus infections from the runny nose each time the wind blows literally. I figured it would be environmental and once again, I just knew I'd have the answers. Blind faith just keeps my optimism eternal.....
They gave her the skin prick type test for 24 possible allergens. Positive for peas and potatos. Kylie has had neither yet. Low on environmental allergens, low on milk, low on chocolate and beans. Ok, so avoid the future peas and potatos(is that all potatos?). He said the milk is too low to affect her. Don't change her formula. Don't go outside on high pollen days. Keep Rondec DM drops handy.
Well.......that means I don't do anything differently than I've been doing and I'm back where I started with a sinus infection every week or two. We get about 1-2 weeks of no runny nose before it all starts again and that's usually with a cold front. Friday was the allergy test and you guessed, Friday night the runny nose began. Six month checkup Mon. - guess it will be to check out this sinus infection too.:smt086
