My mom gave me this recipe for a cake. I was talking to her about Owen's Birthday and how he can't have the dairy/soy. Hope you enjoy it. It's called Fantacake.

4 eggs
3 cups flour
2 cups of sugar
1 cup oil
2 cups of Fanta (orange soda)
2 tsp baking powder

Mix all of the ingredients together poor on deep cookie sheet and bake on 350 (180 celcius) for about 60 min or until cake is done, let it cool.
Take 1 tbls Fanta and mix with Confectioners sugar and ice the cake and enjoy.

Sounds good, and much easier than Em's soy-free/dairy-free cake I made for her birthday. The icing was NASTY.

Thank you! :hello2:

IT's always good to see other recipes. We made a dairy, soy, egg, wheat, gluten, and nut free cake for Evan's birthday. lol I was surprised you could make a cake w/out all that.

Sounds yummy and in perfect time! Both mine have birthdays in the next 2 months. Do you know if the orange soda loses its fizzle when you put it in the frosting and cake???? Sorry if its a dumb question! Chelsea can't do carbonated drinks---but if it is in the cake and it changes the bubbly part, I can do it. Let me know if you have made it alreay!

I've made one before and you can definitely tell there's something soda like in it IMO. It just has a different teste to it. It would probably be o.k. for her though.

Ok here is a update on the cake. I baked it today and put some icing on it. Owen and I already enjoyed a little piece of it since we couldn't wait until later. It actually tastes really good.
Carla the fizzle is all gone in the cake and also in the frosting. I hope your kids can enjoy this cake.
