I was just roaming the aisles at the grocery store this evening, and I came across some of the single-serve Motts applesauces that are "no sugar added." I picked up a package of Peach-Mango, and Granny Smith Apple. Is there any reason that these would be bad for him, assuming peach, mango, and apples will not disagree with him on the given day? LOL. Anyone else try these opposed to baby food applesauce?

Maggie...Both of my kids love applesauce, the granny smith ones are sour!!! You might want to have the camera ready when you give him that one:)
Let us know how he likes them

Maggie... I just picked up the same applesauce this weekend, after I noticed the NO SUGAR. However, I got the regular stuff. Lauren loves applesauce and I figure it's cheaper to buy it that way than the baby food. We're now mostly on table food and it's hard to find stuff that has no sugar.

I haven't tried those with Owen yet, since I'm a little too chicken. Jonathan on the other hand loved those and I started giving him those at around that age.
Let us know how he does with them.

They'll have a coarser texture than baby food but otherwise, they should be no different.
I feed these to Bethany--we're starting to introduce homemade/thicker purees, so these work well.
Just like Lesley said--they're a little coarser in texture, but otherwise are a cheaper alternative to baby food.
good luck!

I have given K applesauce too... when we go to dinner out sometimes its an option besides french fries... she certainly isnt getting those!
I dunno about the Peach Mango ones... K has trouble with Peaches still or Peaches mixed in stuff even...
I hope it works out though Maggie... definitely let us know... I'm going to be investing in those no sugar ones soon because K is eating mainly table food now - actually ALL table food now lol She doesnt eat any baby food any more... Oh well.

We did the switch to the shelf brand pretty early on too, Maggie. Since there was no sugar, I figured it was no different from when I make it.

Zoee eats it as well. The no sugar is very bland. She likes the raspberry applesauce one the best.

We let D chew on french fries! But he's a lot older and the circumstances are different.
Maggie, I hope Noah loves his new applesauce. Daniel loves sour things!
