i really didnt think i would have any trouble getting alexys off the bottle since she has always hated them, but the little bugger is not giving them up. She only takes one when she goes to bed or naps, and only 2 oz. But i cant get her to sleep without it, i have tried. I really want to get her off of it because of the baby coming, but she wont go to bed with a sippy cup. And she also wont take formula out of a cup, and those 6 oz a day are all she gets. should i just let it go and let her on the bottle? any suggestions?

Hi Amy!
I'm thinking that even if you DO manage to get her off the bottles, as soon as little Aaron comes she will be wanting that bottle back ASAP. As long as she's getting some ounces, my personal opinion is that I'd stick w/what works for now. you have enough stress to deal w/right now ;)

Let her have the bottle. Catherine goes to bed with one and gets two more during the night. I know it's bad for her teeth, but that's the lesser of the evils right now.

She uses only sippy cups (Nuby only) during the day.

Amy, let her have the bottle. Cady is so attached to her bottle and I couldn't imagine taking them away from her. Her ped. gave her until she's 2.5 - 3 to wean herself naturally from the bottle. Cady won't take milk from a cup, no matter the flavor, only water and juice. I wouldn't worry about it. She'll be fine. Give her as long as she needs.

Noah also has a love/hate relationship with the bottle. He ALSO will only take water from the sippy. You have so much going on right now--see if you can push it to the side for a month, have the baby, then try again when you have more time. I hope you're feeling well!

I would let her have the bottle for now, she still has time to wean from it. Jonathan took a bottle until he was about 15 months old and weaned himself.
