InfantRefluxDisease.com is brought to you by the
authors of
Life on the Reflux Roller Coaster, it has been online
for over four years and has been helping people ever since. We are
dedicated solely to providing information and support to the families
and caregivers of babies suffering from
infant reflux and
infant and
pediatric GERD and to raising awareness among the general public
and medical community. At InfantRefluxDisease.com we will never
claim to have all the answers, solutions, or miracle cure for your
child's infant reflux. We believe that doing so would be irresponsible
and extremely misleading, because for many there are no answers or
solutions. We do; however, constantly strive to provide our visitors
as much information and support as possible. We also strive to ensure
that the information we provide is accurate and medically sound. You
will notice on the bottom of the articles written by us, that they
have been pediatrician reviewed and approved (see below for Dr.
Olson's creditials).
When you visit us, we want you to find the answers that you are
looking for, if you can't, feel free to
contact us, we'll do our best to help you.

RONI MACLEAN - FOUNDER / AUTHOR |
In
May
of 2000 Roni MacLean's daughter Shae-Lynne was born. In the
weeks, months and even years following her birth, hospital
admissions, doctors appointments, tests, and procedures became
the way of life and through it all was one very sick little
girl.
Diagnosed with GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease),
nothing seemed to be helping the child. Frustrated and feeling
helpless, MacLean, having no medical background, started
researching the disease shortly after Shae-Lynne's diagnosis,
hoping if she learned enough she would find a solution or cure.
What she learned instead was that there isn't a cure, and that
there were many others in Shae-Lynne's situation.
Since she had not been successful in helping her daughter
with her GERD, MacLean wanted to reach out and help others going
through what they had been through. Early in 2001 she started
Shae-Lynne's personal website and included information on reflux
and GERD. Because of the overwhelming response MacLean received
from this website she knew more needed to be done. She
continued researching, started writing and together with her
mother (Jean McNeil)
Life on the Reflux Roller Coaster was born. This
highly acclaimed "must read" was the first book published in
the world dedicated entirely to infant reflux.
MacLean's dedication to raising awareness continues and as
every good website does, the initial website expanded, requiring
her daughter's personal site to be moved to
www.shaelynne.com, making way for all that you find now on
InfantRefluxDisease.com. |

seem to have a bias in any direction except that of
good medical care. I am happy to have my name
